Friend

Rev George Washington Friend born Feb 21, 1818, was born in Wales. George was a Methodist minister and married Catherine Ryan who was born in Indiana in 1821. Sarah Friend, their oldest daughter, was born in 1846 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She moved to Iowa with her family when she was nine years old and after her marriage, she and her husband Asahel Pickett lived on a farm near Keosauqua, Iowa.
